In 2011, Troy ventured into the world of special events, curating unique experiences. As flash mobs gained popularity, the inception of the original Thriller dance, then known as "Dawn of the Zombie Apocalypse," emerged as a promotional spectacle for a larger event in 2012.  Blanketing Chicago with posters promoting the dance, serendipity intervened when one of these caught Julie's attention.

On the first rehearsal day, an unexpected twist unfolded as the original choreographer was involved in a car accident, making them unable to attend. Rather than canceling the rehearsal, Troy put forth a question: Who could step up to lead the dance? In a spontaneous and pivotal moment, Julie seized the opportunity. She has guided dancers meticulously through the iconic Thriller routine from that day onward, becoming an integral part of the event's success story.

Today, the events business is long gone, but Troy and Julie's friendship has grown into a special bond. They both enjoy seeing community dancers start by barely knowing the dance into embodying the spirit of MJ's Thriller!
